September 8 Declared Focus on Fabulous Day
North Charleston, SC – Charleston Mayor John Tecklenberg has declared September 8 as Focus on Fabulous Day. Focus on Fabulous day is the brainchild of Michelle Bryant Griffin, owner of Focus on Fabulous, LLC. The purpose of the day is to create a worldwide focus on recognizing beauty, dedication, and loveliness that often lays hidden and unseen in all people and their surroundings.
“We don’t stop to see the beauty around us very often,” said Michelle Bryant Griffin. “We want to have one whole day where we do nothing but celebrate beauty and focus on what is fabulous in this world instead of dwelling on the negatives. There is too much negativity bombarding us every day and this is our chance to make a change, even if it’s only for the day.”
To celebrate the day, after the signing of the Proclamation by the Mayor, Focus on Fabulous LLC and other local business are planning to celebrate the magazine’s two-year anniversary with a party on September 9th from 3 pm-6 pm at Amici’s Italian Bistro, 7648 Northwoods Blvd, North Charleston. The event is free and open to the public.
The birthday bash will feature a review of the past year as well as new and exciting things in store for the upcoming year. There will also be a chance for business owners to introduce themselves and get connected with other local businesses. The Mayor has been extended an invitation and could stop by. Door prizes, food, and entertainment will round out the activities for the day. Raffle tickets, specialty items and open bar will be available for purchase.
