Life is not a bowl of cherries. That’s what my Mom’s best friend always used to say growing up. She grew up on a farm – some years were good, some were quite scarce. She always was in the back of my mind when struggling with work or personal matters. She is gone now but her lessons remain.
There are memories that leave a mark so deep in your soul that you can’t keep quiet. Well, that’s why I am writing this blog.
I don’t think I knew who I was until I lived abroad in London, but I really learned about myself and dug deep into my soul when I decided to be an entrepreneur. Sometimes I think everyone should try being an entrepreneur for a year, because that’s where you find out who your real friends are – I call it the ‘friend-o-meter”- some fell fast. Another GREAT lesson is you find out the traits that are undeniably YOU because if you can’t convince yourself of who you are, then no one will buy from you. I never really planned to be an entrepreneur – it so happened I found myself in a place where I wasn’t serving myself, and I was no longer serving anyone – when my Spirit, energy and enthusiasm had left years ago.
I had stopped my social media/marketing business from the overwhelmingly challenging decision of what in marketing I wanted to focus on.
It dawned on me that it was better for me to serve my audience less as a “marketer”; but due to my large social presence and passion for social media – my new role was to help promote others via my new Facebook Live show ‘CindyVision’ in a talk show format where it was more of a discussion than a promotion.
I wanted to BE THE PERSON that I NEEDED when I was struggling with my career, so I will interview business leaders// entrepreneurs because that is what I enjoy most – but in addition to that – I will address the things which I feel aren’t easily understood/ trained in any business school or training; I will investigate all in one place – e.g. How to have the necessary chat with my boss on conflicts at work? How to deal with difficult customers? How to go back to work in an environment where you feel the odds are stacked against you with very little support? Well, therefore, CindyVision will be so important and hopefully help others along the way. A spiritual advisor of mine said once, “healing is like peeling layers of an onion- you have so many layers that need to be addressed and healed.”
Someone once told me to get stronger and said, “it sort of happens that people talk to you sort of rude; expect that customers get angry sometimes.” Well, I don’t think its always that easy to “rub off” or process, so I ultimately want to create a very niche Facebook group to show the support I always needed in my life. I counted it in my head – I changed my resume 15-20 times over the years and I had moments that developed new levels of resilience but there has to be someone that will expose those issues so we can have healing and reach greater heights. CindyVision is my story and I want you to come along with me on my journey.
My journey has just started, but I have healed in ways that I never imagined and have developed skills that I recognized were lacking in my previous business. I see you on my next CindyVision show on www.facebook.com/castwebdesignsc with the Million Dollar Sisterhood.
I found to be in the most comfortable place after a long-term period of uncomfortableness. I assure you I am fine. I really think this social media branding is getting me noticed. I try, try and try again. This is my life story. I don’t proclaim to have all the answers. I actually want to expose the parts that I have been struggling with for a while interviewing kick-ass experts and entrepreneurs on my Facebook live show CindyVision! Here is how the story started. I have to admit it was actually an experiment to see if I can support, build up and expand local businesses. Interestingly enough, I have grown significantly in a short period of time. First, I learned all about collaboration – the thing which I failed to do enough of or not quite at all; a mixture of trust and insecurity.
Future blog post – The customer journey you take with your customer is a journey in which you may the driver & at other times the passengers, where you hear them out & support their needs.
