Summer is right around the corner. That can be exciting for most of us, but it can present a challenge for many different reasons. School is out, the weather is nice, more events are taking place, and so much more. This all sounds great but how do we stay focused on our workout plan and keep up with eating properly when there is so much to do and see?
This isn’t something we typically think about until its almost august, we realize we have been eating any and everything, we gained 10-15lbs, and we haven’t worked out in 2 months. The great part about that is we were having the time of our life spending time with family and friends and taking a break from having so much structure. But how can we balance it all so that we don’t set ourselves back with our fitness journey?
This is where great planning comes into play.
- If you love the beach plan beach friendly HIIT style workouts that can be done quickly and would be fun for others to join into.
- If you love spending time in nature, plan a hiking trip your whole family can enjoy.
- plan vacations that will require tons of physical activity.
- buy a cooler and pack your healthy lunches to take with you.
Planning is the last thing most of us want to think about during summer fun time. But in the long run it will save us so much time and keep us from beating ourselves up once it’s time to get back to our normal routine. Try some of these ideas out and also spend some time thinking about ways you can keep up with your fitness journey and still join in the fun
