When you meet Robin, you immediately her heart. At age 59 she is captivating, bubbly and has an intoxicating personality. People who know Robin personally describe her without hesitation as loving, helpful and charismatic.

Born in Buffalo, New York, Robin moved to Charleston in February 1990 with her husband and his job. She has three boys who she is immensely proud to call her own. “I’m proud of myself and my boys,” she boasts. “I think raising three kind, strong, self-confident, compassionate boys, especially black boys, is an impressive accomplishment.” She has no grandchildren currently but looks forward to the day.

When one asks Robin what she does for a living or to describe herself, she immediately pipes up with, “I’m a life saver.” Robin elaborates by saying, “I educate and empower people with life-transforming skills and resources through my CPR training classes and Legal Shield services.”

Robin became a Legal Shield representative to empower people with access to their rights. Despite her success with Legal Shield, Robin does not push or pressure anyone. She primarily is a firm believer in sharing. With more than 30 years with Legal Shield, she can talk for hours on success stories she personally has witnessed or been a part of.

What makes Robin different from others who sell Legal Shield is that she provides excellent customer service and makes it her mission to see her customers are happy. She continually goes beyond to make sure they get what they need through following up with them and building a relationship.

“I don’t just sell them the service and leave them,” she says. “I remind them of their services and perks so they can get all the perks, even as small as copy services discounts.” She credits her success to the same reason we feel she stands out from others in her field: She genuinely cares by building relationships and offering her standard of exceptional customer service.

Robin also has been teaching CPR for 28 years. Although very skilled in the life-saving techniques, she tells us she has never had to use CPR. “I’ve used the first aid,” Robins says. “But God and I have an agreement. I will teach as many people as He needs me to, as long as I don’t have to need it. So far we have both kept our part of the bargain.”

A typical workday for Robin begins around 10 a.m. She wakes up and starts her morning with prayer. She will then check her calendar for appointments and obligations. Robin sends out daily affirmations to various recipients and has been doing this for more than 200 days thus far. She will then make any phone calls, set appointments, etc. and follow her daily planned schedule. Every evening Robin writes down the six most important things she needs to accomplish the next day. She also has a gratitude journal, and each night before bed she writes three items of gratitude and three wins for the day, leaving her mind focused on positivity as she slumbers. She also writes whatever big goal she may be shooting for that day. She ends her day the same way she begins it, in prayer, and is usually in bed somewhere between 12 a.m. and 2 a.m.

Robin truly loves what she does because she thoroughly enjoys helping and empowering people. She says, “It’s nice to have people be able to right the wrongs in the world and help people have better quality of life and peace of mind.”

Robin continually gives back to others in different ways as well. She volunteers anywhere and everywhere, with anyone who needs help. She told us about one time she drove two people with pets across the country to move.

Besides being mother and wife, Robin plays the roles of chauffeur, cheerleader at her boys’ games and wrestling matches, loyal friend and encourager.

In addition to being at peace with herself and her life and exuding that peace to others she surrounds herself with, Robin uses her own mantra of “Get ’r done Nazon” to keep herself motivated.

It’s no wonder Robin is truly admired and respected among her friends, family and colleagues. With Robin, what you see is what you get. She has no time to play games or participate in drama. She is real, transparent and caring. There are no sides to see, no masks to unveil and no surprises. She justly is outstanding in her field.
