Shenique Garrett Rollinson is the mother of three amazing young men ages 21, 9 and 7. She moved to Charleston from Greenwood, South Carolina, in 2002. Shenique received her Associate of Arts from Piedmont Technical College, her Bachelor’s in mass communications from Lander University and holds several Master’s degrees in human resources development, human resources management and management leadership.
Shenique is the CEO, owner and founder of Impact HR Solutions, which she started in 2008. Impact HR Solutions offers much more than mere human resource services, such as: job placements, hiring and firing assistance. Impact offers services for both individuals and businesses on various levels depend-ing on need.

In addition to raising three boys and running Impact HR Solutions with only herself and COO Wendy Marlowe, Shenique is excited about her aspirations of a brick-and-mortar office in North Charleston and putting her passions into a new venture called Impact Your Life Transformation Coaching. Shenique believes that we must first change our mindset before we can change our life. With practical teachings like transparency and proactive ways to get past our pain, Shenique, through her own trans-parency, shares face-to-face consultations and conversations with a series of questions and guides her clients in turning their pain into purpose and their struggles into successes. She plans to meet her clients wherever they are in their pain, growth and willingness to develop through listening, receiving emotions and building trust while helping them find the answer she asks herself every day: “What are you going to do to be great today?”
In short, Impact HR Solutions and everything Shenique does stems from her greatest accomplishment: her 21-year-old son. Her son, who is aware that he is the result of an unsuccessful abortion, knows that at that time in his mother’s life she did not want him but that a bad decision was the catapult she needed. Because of him, she worked two jobs, attended college full time—while taking him to class with her—and, ironically, despite all odds and a plethora of emotions, her son taught her to love, helped her grow up and made her become a woman and mother.
Shenique still holds on to that passion, drive and tenacity in her life and her businesses every day, for she was determined that her son would never be aware of how they struggled, and yet he unknow-ingly instilled in her a sense that life had to be better than what they were going through. Today having seen what he suppressed and struggled through, she is proud to say that, at 21 years old, he has never done drugs, smoked, gotten arrested or acquired a record. In fact, their biggest arguments are about his messy room. He is a beautiful, amazing human being, and when she looks back on his life with hers it takes her breath away and gives her the purpose that she wakes up with every day to say to herself, her children and her clients, “What are you going to do to be great today?”
