My stylist shared a bit of information with me about the benefits of HONEY for the hair. A few things like:
- It’s a natural softener and conditioner.
- It’s a natural antioxidant for healthy scalp and stimulate growth.
- It improves the health of the hair follicles and healthy shine.
- It prevents the scalp from infections or psoriasis with its antibacterial and antiseptic qualities.
These are just a few of the benefits that HONEY has on your hair. Let’s talk about the health benefit that HONEY has on the skin.
Raw HONEY is filled with so many beneficial enzymes. HONEY has superb benefits for the skin as well. If you do your research, you will see that Cleopatra the Egyptian Queen of Beauty used HONEY in her milk bath and facial mask.
I personally keep a little HONEY in the spa for my excessive dry skin clients. HONEY is a skin humectant, meaning it locks in the moisture. For oily skin, it will help to retain the moisture and elasticity in your skin. Regular and consistent use of raw HONEY will fade old or new skin scars. HONEY protects the skin from sun damage and is a natural antioxidant when taken internal; it protects the skin from the damage caused by the sun (premature wrinkles and cancer). Okay, that doesn’t mean stop using your sunscreen. Sunscreen is important, and using HONEY will give you that extra boost of benefit.
