As we finish one year and enter another, many will make resolutions and set goals in what often appears to be a futile attempt at betterment of self only to eventually end up disappointed at our failure for lack of effort, consistency or patience. I prefer to approach the transition in a different way.
Seeing as how I do not view my glass as half-full or half-empty but overflowing, and am continually seeking the good in every situation and circumstance, I therefore prefer to end the old year and enter the new unlike most.
Instead of setting goals and resolutions I am fully aware I will not keep, I prefer to recap the accomplishments I have obtained in the year passed. Especially being the owner of this publication, I find it refreshing to look at the lives I’ve touched, the stories I’ve heard and the connections I’ve made.
It is immensely fulfilling to be reminded that life, people, and circumstances may not always be amazing all the time and all year long, but within my pages and in my travelings, I am constantly enlightened at the recollection that there is always something amazing to discover in the person, the moment, and the situation.
As you read this, our 14th issue, we hope that you will be inspired, uplifted and encouraged. It is our desire to celebrate life with arms wide open and hearts overflowing, that you might not only thirst for a life filled with abundance but embrace it as well. And as we say good bye to another year and approach a new one with hopes, dreams, anxiety and anticipation, I personally hope you will take a moment and reflect on the awesome moments and people that you encountered along the way.
Around you the leaves may be dead, the skies might be gray and the air brisk, but the embers in the fire burn warm, the memories embedded deep and the excitement of a new year of possibilities is as individual as a snowflake and as overflowing as your imagination.
stay fabulous, stay you!
