This concept sounds great but when applied to your overall health and wellness What exactly does this mean. Most times this statement isn’t applied to our body and mind but our home. But what if we applied the same thought process to our bodies.

Spring Cleaning is a huge staple that signifies the arrival of new beginnings. We clean every inch of our homes, throwing away damaged items, giving away items that no long serve a purpose and so much more. This creates space for the new and improved home to emerge.

But what if we applied that same concept to our body? What would happen if you did a deep cleaning to your body and mind? Getting rid of unhealthy habits, throwing away old thought patterns. Wouldn’t this create space for the new version of you to emerge. This all sounds great right but how could someone actually remove thoughts, and patterns from themselves especially after years of living or leading a certain type of lifestyle.

  • 1. Decide and write down what you want to change about yourself
  • 2. Decide and write down what behaviors must stop, and which behaviors must continue to create this change
  • 3. Decide and write down what new behaviors you want to start
  • 4. Create a daily reminder to do the behaviors you wish to start
  • 5. Then start, by just trying every day to complete the list.

Seems simple right? Because it is. No, you may not get it right every day and that’s ok. Change takes time. With trial and error your will begin to be able to refine your behaviors and find ways to make it easier to fit YOU.

The great thing about this list is that it can be applied to so many different aspects of life and it can take place as often as you need. Behavior change is a process just like anything else. No process is foul proof and that’s the beauty of being able to make it your own. But the key to any change is to start!
