Hello Spring! This is one of my favorite seasons of the year. There’s a sense of newness and fresh beginnings that we all may feel. The flowers are blossoming, the weather is vibrant and the natural habitat around us is renewed. In comparison to the previous season Winter, which is the coldest season of the year, there’s little to no growth to the visible eye. When we view the seasons of our lives, I’m sure we have stories that we could share together that would evoke upon each of our personal experiences within the year.

Many of you reading this may have a sense of feeling that you are stuck in between the old patterns of what is familiar and the new unmet experiences you’ve yet to encounter. I want to shed light on the power you have right now to bloom and blossom where you currently are. We all have dreams whether from a young age or at this current moment, and life has a way to shatter those aspirations due to our environments, upbringing, beliefs, etc.

I want to challenge you to believe you have the power of choice to find the good in where you currently are, to build upon where you desire to go on your journey. Celebrate today and rest assured that over the years you’ve gathered life lessons that have given you wisdom to bloom and flourish in this next season of life. On my process toward growth, I was in such a hurry to become the healthier version of myself I had envisioned that I couldn’t find gratification in the current season I was in. What has been discovered is it’s in our moments of process, transition, and reinvention that prepares us for the best experiences of our lives. I’m going to share with you five tools that can help during the process of embracing New Growth in the Spring Season:

  1. Access where you currently are in this season. – You must become aware of where you are to move in the forward direction of what you’ve envisioned for your life. Take time to get quiet, grab a notebook, and journal the areas that need improvement.
  2. Map out where you desire to go. – To prevent yourself from getting overwhelmed, start with three simple steps (goals) that will get you started. As you move more direction will unfold.
  3. Develop and prepare as you move toward your desired goal. – It’s important to build up your capacity from within to be able to welcome in your desired goals and sustain them. Prayer, reading your Bible, Personal Development Books, and Sharpening in your skill set to set you apart in the fields and rooms that will highlight your gifts and talents.
  4. Get around like-minded individuals that share your goals or have gone where you desire to go (friends, advisors, mentors, coaches, etc.) Connect with the right people that will sharpen and challenge you into becoming the healthiest version of yourself to make the greatest impact.
  5. Allow your why and purpose to steer you on days you want to throw in the towel. – There will be days you will want to give up and you will need to remember why you are pursuing the purpose and passion that’s held in your heart. On those hard days your why (something greater than your personal gain) will need to move you forward. Our why should lead us beyond ourselves toward impacting others for the greater good.

Here’s to a New Season of you Blooming Forth on the path of becoming a Better You. Keep going, I believe in you!
